Artist's Philosopy
My aim is to utilize painting and my artistic ability to further explore artistic possibilities. I wish to freeze a particularly fascinating moment in time, while simultaneously capturing the inherent motion within that event.
I want the viewer to be able to feel the energy of that movement within the artwork. I seek for the images on my canvas to burst forth with a blast of energy through color, form, light, and shadow. I have spirited stories filled with raw emotion and a sense of urgency to share with my audience through compelling images.
My endeavor is to continue to tell my narratives through art and confront the viewer in a direct and up-front manner. Color is an important facet of my work. I want to relay to the public all the subtle nuances of color that I see. I strive to create images that will connect with the viewer on an emotional level.
